Shopping Information
Is your online shopping secure? Absolutely! Emily Press Labels uses SSL encryption technology (Secure Socket Layer) to protect the security of your credit card information on our systems when you shop on the Emily Press Labels website. Every page in the ordering process uses SSL, which is designed to render information unreadable should anyone attempt to intercept it. What forms of payment do you accept? We accept Visa and MasterCard credit cards as well as payments through PayPal. PayPal membership is not required in order to make credit card purchases on the Emily Press Labels website. We offer it as an additional payment choice. Within your PayPal account, you can pay by Visa, MasterCard, American Express or with funds from your bank account. The choice is yours. Checks are also accepted however order-processing times will be longer. I noticed I was charged an international transaction fee when I paid with my credit card. Why? Some credit card companies charge an international transaction fee for international orders. It is not a charge originating from Emily Press Labels but rather from your credit card company. You will need to contact your credit card company to discuss these charges. Why was my credit card declined? It should have been approved. Some credit cards are blocked for international orders and you will need to contact your credit card company to have this block removed. In some instances it is declined for security reasons as they note a charge issued from your own country as well as in another country (Canada) in the same day. This can cause an alert to be issued and is done to protect you. A quick call to the credit card company usually resolves the situation. Product Information Can I split my order of labels in half and put my daughter’s name on one half and my son’s on another? Our print production creates the same text as printed for each set of labels you choose. You may want to consider using your family name on the labels so they can be shared. We've created many of our label sets with three designs so even with the family name on the labels, they each will have their own label design and one that they can share between them and the rest of the family. Can add more letters to my labels? We indicate on the Label Builder how many letters or characters are available for each type of label. If you need a few more than this number, make a note of this at checkout in the Feedback box provided (in Step 2) and we will try to accommodate your request if possible. Be sure to leave a method to contact you if different from your Shipping/Billing information provided otherwise it could delay production of your labels if we need to confirm or speak with you further. Can I use Pencil labels on my lunch containers? Pencil labels are water resistant but not waterproof so they will not hold up in the dishwasher. They were developed for the dozens of writing utensils children and students go through each year. To make them last their longest, position Pencil labels near the top or blunt end of the pencils so when you sharpen your pencils, you don’t damage the labels and they last longer. Some of your labels show three versions on screen. Do I get all three? Yes! Some of our label designs have three versions of its theme and you will see them previewed in the Label Builder. This allows for more variety and adds to the fun of labeling. On our Slim labels you will receive less of the middle label design from the top and bottom designs in the Label Builder. Do I need to add clear stickers to my shoe labels? No, it’s not necessary with our Shoe labels. We’ve developed a protective topcoat already built into the Shoe labels for added durability so there’s no messing around with extra stickers. Just peel and stick them to your footwear. It’s so easy! Can I put Tag-a-Tag™ Clothing labels directly on the clothing rather than the care tag? Tag-a-Tag™ clothing labels are specifically developed for adding to the brand and care tags of your clothes. They will not stay on if you place them directly on the clothing’s fabric. Press the Tag-a-Tag™ firmly to the care tag until you can see the texture from the tag underneath. This creates an extra strong bond. Waiting 24 hours before washing will even strengthen it more. How accurate is the Label Builder and its preview of the labels? We do our best to ensure the colors and text size you view online is similar to the printed labels. Sometimes fonts on computer monitors render pixelated but be sure your text will be smooth and aligned correctly when printed. We sometimes keep text on one line if the text size will be larger this way than putting it over two lines. You can always message us in the box provided at checkout if you have any questions or want to confirm text layout. Computer monitors can affect how some colors appear online versus in print as well as ink dye lots can be slightly different. We look at every order that is placed and work on making the best text layout for your labels. We stand behind our labels so if you have any concerns about your labels you receive, email us at info@emilypress.com. What other products are you creating? We have many other products and designs being worked on at this very moment that we are very excited about. Expect more great products launching soon and throughout the year. How are your Reusable labels restickable? Our Reusable labels have a unique adhesive that make them restickable when applied to most smooth surfaces like metal, plastic or glass and they leave no sticky residue. Keep the label adhesive clean and dry so you can keep sticking the Reusable labels securely over and over again. Our Reusable labels will stick to paper products however they may not restick if paper fibers have adhered to the sticky adhesive. How do I keep care of my Reusable labels? The textured label surface can be wiped with a damp cloth. Items stuck with our Reusable labels can be hand washed or if you prefer to use your dishwasher, remove the label and stick it to a smooth, clean surface such as the fridge, dishwasher door or to the backing paper the labels came with. Restick them again after the wash. What do I stick with Reusable labels? With our Reusable labels you can use a label over and over again so it's cost effective and eco-friendly. Stick them on school stuff, then remove and restick to summer camp gear. They are also ideal as a temporary label for those borrowed items leaving the house like videos and games that you will want to unlabel when they return. Labeling Suggestions: USB sticks, iPads, laptops, phones, markers, pencils, rulers, binders, scissors and other school supplies. Flashlights, coolers, toothbrushes, toiletries and other camp gear. Lunch boxes, benot box components, food containers, water bottles and inside reusable snack bags. (see above wash care) What are Write Your Own labels? Write Your Own labels are self-laminating blank labels that you customize yourself with whatever text you like. Once the text is written with a permanent marker, you peel off the backing on the laminate overlay and smooth the clear laminate firmly over the writing protecting it from being washed away. Be sure to press it down very firmly all the way to the edges of the label so that water can’t penetrate. You can even go over it with a hard edge from a plastic gift or credit card to really seal it well. The labels are waterproof and dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe. It's easier to write and seal the labels before trying to apply them to any items. When would I use Write Your Own labels? Now that you have the ability to create your own personalized, waterproof labels when you need them, these are wonderful to always have on hand at home or at the office. Write Your Own labels feature a blank white area to use for multiple names, phone numbers and anything else you want to write including foreign language characters and accents. Write Your Own labels can be applied to glass, metals and plastics that have a clean smooth dry surface with no textures. They are waterproof and dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe. They are not suitable on fabrics. Label baby bottles, baby food containers, sippy cups, lunchboxes, bento boxes, water bottles, Tupperware, school supplies, office supplies, electronics and more. These make great party loot bag favors too! The Write Your Own labels contain four sheets with six labels on each (two of each design). Instructions are printed on the back of each sheet in English, French and Spanish. Anything else we should know about Write Your Own labels? Yes! They are non-PVC, BPA-free and as per CPSIA standards they're lead safe and phthalate-free. They are made in North America and we've also used packaging that includes recycled content. They are the perfect addition to your green or eco-friendly fundraisers. Learn more about having your school or organization run an Emily Press green fundraiser. Never pull back on the area where the built-in laminate stuck down as it won’t reseal as firmly as it once was and could allow water to penetrate. If you do find any areas where it may be lifting or water penetrating, press firmly down again to try to adhere it again. Where can I buy Write Your Own labels by Emily Press Labels? You can purchase them online from Emily Press Labels and soon from your local children's store.
